Where do we meet for class?

Great Question! Yoga Kai currently has two floating studio locations on O'ahu: Magic island and the Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort.

Magic Island:

Meet us at the Ala Moana Beach Park, right by Magic Island, on the grassy area behind lifeguard station 1E. There's a large parking lot there you can use for free, or just ask your driver to drop you off by the restrooms. Keep an eye out for our big silver 'Yoga Kai' van and look for your instructor setting our blue boards out between the beach and the parking lot. Our pin on Google Maps may help you find your way as well, and you can always give us a call if you have any questions.

Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort:

We’ll be out on Waikiki Beach in front of the Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort located at 2335 Kalakaua Avenue, right beside the Aqualani Kiosk. Look for us by the blue and white outrigger canoe on the beach fronting Duke’s Waikiki and feel free to ask our friends at Aqualani for help if you have any trouble finding us!

Can I still take a Paddle Yoga class if I’ve never tried yoga or Stand-Up-Paddling?

Definitely! Our classes are designed for students of all experience levels, even the “never-evers”. Each class will begin with a short period of safety/basic instruction. Once you have your feet planted atop one of our yoga boards, your learning curve will be steep.

What should I bring?

We recommend that you bring SUNSCREEN, a towel, a bottle of water, and perhaps a change of clothes in case you decide to take a dip in the ocean. If you're signing up for one of our nighttime SUP Glowga or Glow Paddle classes, we recommend some light, quick drying layers to help keep you warm out on the water after dark. Your paddle board, paddle and anchor ARE included in the price of the Paddle Yoga class.

What if the weather is bad?

If we don’t feel that your class will be fun or safe, we will cancel the session. A rain check will be issued for all students.

What should I wear?

Yoga attire or swim suits are best, but anything that you're comfortable moving in and don't mind getting wet works great. The water temperature is almost as warm as the Hawaiian air, so there is no need for a wet suit during the day. If you're taking one of our sup glowga classes at night, quick-drying layers are highly recommended.

What's the cancellation policy?

Class cancellation must be made 12 hours prior to scheduled time to avoid being charged for the session. If there are last minute emergencies, please notify us at 808-364-7095 or aloha@yogakaihawaii.com
