A Yoga Kai class lasts approximately 75 minutes. The first 15 minutes is dedicated to the safety and basic use of a paddle board and getting anchored down in the water. The subsequent hour is dedicated to your SUP Yoga class. The yoga portion begins with some pranayama (breathing exercises) to get you relaxed, a gentle warm up to get you acquainted with the board, a climax, cool down, and ends with savasana. With blending of Vinyasa and Hatha Yoga approaches, students will go through a series of both strength building and restorative poses. Each yoga class will offer a ten-minute block of playtime, allowing students to attempt any poses they have been eager to try out on the water. All equipment for the class (paddle board and anchor) is included in the price of the class. We meet at Haleiwa Beach Park on the beach near the jetty which is to the right of Surf N Sea and in front of The BeachHouse restaurant.
